Are You on the List of Attendees?

Can you afford to miss this year's conference?

The programme for this years conference has evolved into a comprehensive collection of presentations and activities that you would be crazy not to be in Wellington for.

On Sunday there are sessions on Managing Energy and Emissions followed by a focus on Surviving in Today's Business Environment. In both of these sessions we have high quality key note speakers.

On Monday the entire morning focusses on Fire Prevention - a critical subject and a mire of complex requirements that we must come to grips with.

The IIR Technical Day on Tuesday is full to the brim with a range of presentations from scientific papers to future predictions for refrigeration from all of our key primary products sectors.

Download the latest draft and then tell me that there is nothing of interest to you!

And check the Attendees List for those people that have made the commitment - Why aren't you on the List?

Fire Service Report

You will no doubt be aware that the NZ Fire Service report on the fire at Tamahere in April this year was released today.

It can be downloaded from the following site: http://www3.fire.org.nz/cms.php?page=19058

There is a mass of information in this report and some interesting conclusions and recommendations.

Note that Paula Beever, who led the investigation by the Fire Service, has agreed to speak at our conference. This will be as part of the Monday morning session (13th October) covering a variety of aspects of fire protection.

Also note that we have now also scheduled a workshop, to be held as part of the conference, to work though some of the detail of the IPENZ Practice Note on Cold Store Design.  This will be held on Tuesday 14th October from 3.30 pm.

The Practice Note is in its final stages of preparation and will be ready for peer review in the next 2 - 3 weeks.

More information on the workshop will be circulated very soon.

Contact me for any information on the above.

See you in Wellington at the Conference!
