Membership Benefits
Membership and associate membership of NZCSA includes a number of benefits. The Association is proud to have served our membes in the following ways:
- Collective representation at a National level - concerning policy and regulations.
- Membership on complimentary Boards and organisations of interest.
- Research and analysis of any developments or new aspects which may impact on our operations.
- Active membership of the International Institute of Refrigeration
- We have recently joined a forum set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) – the Food Miles Group. This forum is a key point of contact for information relating to the impact of the Food Miles concept and the more current carbon footprint.
- During 2004/05, in conjunction with Massey University and EECA, an industry survey relating to energy usage and costs was conducted which has resulted in meaningful data and information now being available.
- We have canvassed our members seeking information which has been included in a letter sent to a number of insurance brokers inviting submissions on the possible development of an industry based insurance project.
We believe that this project has the potential to afford considerable savings for our members. - National Qualification for Cool and Cold Store Workers. The development of a National Qualification for cool/cold store workers. This project has been developed in conjunction with the New Zealand Road Transport Industry Training Organization and Government.
- We provide for our membership an information service by means of our website, regular newsletters and email messages.
- A comprehensive listing of our members is included with links between both members and associate members.
- On an annual basis we stage an industry conference alternating venues between the North and South Islands.
Associate Membership Benefits
Our Associate Members form an integral part of our Association and through the networking which we provide they gain access to our membership to pursue their particular business opportunities.
Many Associate Members participate in our conference activities by way of sponsorship and presentations on their respective product ranges or by attending and participating in the conference activities.
NZCSA Members are encouraged to support our Associate Members by affording them the opportunity to quote for product or service requirements.
Annual Subscriptions
Our membership year spans the period between 1 January and December 31.
Membership is open to all companies involved in the storage handling or transport of chilled or frozen products. The subscription for Membership is $800.00 plus GST per annum for Corporates (3 or more sites) and $500 plus GST for all other companies.
Associate Membership is open to any company involved in servicing the cool and cold storage industry. The subscription for Associate Membership is $400.00 plus GST per annum.
